Mismaneuvering Of Aircrafts.

As a known rule, small airplanes require a reduction of power & deployment of flaps or rather if you put it in simple words, it requires less maneuvering when compared to large aircrafts which requires the pilots to configure it for landing which are much more complex. And when these calculations miss their required accuracy, things turnout to be different. Though this may not be the reason always. Below are a few illustrations:
