I just bought one of Al Stegmeyer’s impressive UpStraps for my Canon 1DS. At $32, it’s not cheap, but neither is the quality or performance. I’ve always used Domke’s Gripper straps on my cameras, but their performance absolutely pales in comparison to the UpStrap. It made me realize how much I subconsciously “favored” my camera-carrying shoulder in the past- now I don’t think so much about my camera slipping off my shoulder. I highly recommend one, especially if you use one of the heavier pro bodies or even a pro-sumer DSLR with a heavier lens. Now I need to get rid of the bag full of flimsy straps I’ve aquired over the years.
